Heidi Kelly: Executive Manager
My Journey to Executive Manager
In September 2021 I qualified as an Executive Manager, I am so thankful to my team and wonderful customers who helped me achieve this goal. I have learned a lot on my journey with NeoLife. I found it highlighted the reality that business is simple, but it is not easy. It takes hard work. In 2021 my NeoLife business was built on pockets of time and understanding that it is important to celebrate the wins and not compare my journey to anyone else’s.
As I work full time, I had to be disciplined and honest about how much time I had to spend on my NeoLife business. I think that is important when you start off to have a plan about what you can do each day and to be realistic about how long it will take you to achieve your goals and understand that not everything will go according to plan.
I am fortunate to be a part of a wonderful team with strong leaders who are happy to share and teach their skills and insights. They are a constant source of inspiration and guidance and are all unique with something special to offer. I learn something new each time I interact with them through attending a company meeting or a team training session.
My journey to Executive Manager also meant I needed to get serious. I focused on getting organised and with the help of Veronica Tooke, my upline, we started a google business page and focused on being consistent about keeping it updated. This made it easier for people to find me online when looking for a NeoLife Distributor and made a difference to my sales.
I have learned more about social media this year. How to use it to grow my business, what I should be posting and what I should not. Consistency is key. I invested in courses- many free- it was all enjoyable and creative.
I organised my phone contacts, crucial business documents and created broadcast lists for customers, and distributors. This made it easier to send vital product and business information. This also helped me organise special events for loyal customers. Where possible I always included personal touches or a note with my deliveries.
I also updated my invoicing system using a new phone App. So I now I can quickly send invoices out to customers via WhatsApp or e-mail. It tracks everything for me so that I am on top of things. It was a game-changer for me allowing me to do business anywhere and everywhere.
In 2021 I have grown my team of distributors and my goal is to develop a unique system to get new distributors settled in quickly so that they can get their business off the ground quickly. I also plan to put together a simple business number tracking system for my team members so they can see how their business starts to make a profit.
Continuing my business education is very important to me. I am currently enrolled in a course to help me learn more about the systems I want to implement. I am proud to keep bettering myself. My belief in myself has grown and I find joy in the business I own and the people I help.
Finally, an important stepping stone to becoming an executive manager was the opportunity to participate in a live product demo and business presentation. Not letting fear stop me, I have taken part in a few this year and they have been wonderful. There is something special about connecting with people this way.
I love this quote by Thomas Eddison who said:
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
This has resonated with me this year as I have worked to grow my NeoLife business.
It has been an amazing journey. I look forward to the next chapter.
